When you refer work to our studio (or vice versa), you can get paid for each successful referral. If you’d rather do fee-free referrals, we can do that too!
Our Creative Network Platform (powered by Raklet), allows you to see and respond to opportunities, comment your own, and network all in one place.
Sure! You’re more than welcome to apply if you’ve got less than 1 year of experience, you just won’t be added at this time.
The short answer is, it depends. When we set up your referral agreement with us, we work directly with you to find a fee structure that works for everyone. There is no minimum referral fee amount, but we do cap referral payments at a max of $500 per successful referral (in either direction).
Offered referral payment structures include:
One set, flat-fee that doesn’t change based on the work referred.
Sliding scale, where fees are determined by estimated payouts of referred work.
Fee-free referrals. You pay nothing, we pay nothing, we just refer work to each other.
When negotiating referral fees with us, remember, whatever we set up goes both ways. Whatever we’d pay you for a successful referral, you’d pay us for work we refer to you that pans out (key word, pans out). Payments (in either direction) will only happen if the referral is successful and are paid out once per new client. You’ll never owe us (and we’ll never owe you) additional fees if you continue working with a referred client or if the referral doesn’t work out.
You can also refer (and receive) work from other Network members, but keep in mind, the referral agreement you signed with us is only applicable for referrals between you and our studio. So, you’ll have to negotiate terms for Member-to-Member referrals separately.
How often we reach out or post a new opportunity depends on how often we receive requests from new (or repeat) clients that we (a) don’t have the bandwidth or skills to help with and (b) are looking for services that match your skill set, the availability you shared with us, and types of work you’re interested in.
So, short answer, there’s no set minimum or maximum and no guarantee you’ll receive regular referrals from us. We also don’t expect regular referrals from you or your business either, so there’s no pressure to send us a certain number of clients or work per year.
Yep! When you register your account you have complete control over your profile visibility, the info you share, and even if other members can DM you. That said, if you comment on a post other members may be able to see your comments.
Nope! Only active Network Members and our studio have access to it.
Yes, we have a few simple rules we expect Network Members to follow so we can keep this space welcoming and productive for everyone. When you register there is a pinned post on our Announcement Board with general conduct expectations.
The two big rules for using the Creative Network Platform are:
Be respectful. We have a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech, harassment, spamming and bullying other members, and disruptive behavior of any kind.
Keep it professional. If you decide to take on any Member-to-Member work, that’s between you and the member you work with. We just ask y’all keep it professional in the comments if things don’t work out.
Any member who violates these rules, our Anti-Hate Group Policy, or the terms of their Referral Agreement will be removed from the Platform, Network, and immediately banned. If you ever have an issue with another member, please reach out to us via DM, email, or make a report on the platform.
