STEP 01
Once we receive your application, we’ll conduct our initial review. We may have questions or need more info at this point, so keep an eye on your email!
STEP 02
Within 7-10 business days we’ll reach out via email to schedule an initial meeting (video or in-person) to discuss your project and verify program eligibility.
STEP 03
We review all your info and propose a fair rate based on your budget, project, and average net profits. From here you can either accept or negotiate a new rate.
STEP 04
Once your rate is locked down and we’ve hammered out all the details, we’ll draft a service agreement for you to review and sign. After that, we get started!
To figure out your rate and project costs, we look at your current financial situation (average net profit margins) and stated budget compared to our standard hourly rate or our average fixed-rate for similar projects. We use these numbers to determine a fair rate and draft a proposal that we send to you for review. Once you receive our proposed fair rate/price, you can either accept it or propose a new rate, opening the floor for negotiations.
As a rule of thumb, the lower your net profit margins are the higher your discount will be and vice versa.
While the exact amount you’ll save depends on a bunch of factors, most participants save an average of 20-50% per project.
Any of our design, brand, or marketing services. Additionally, participants in our Affordable Program can receive on-going support services at a discounted rate.
The only services ineligible for this program are complex web design projects that require professional site management or a custom build (ie. sites built in Wordpress, Webflow, or Static HTML sites with Cloudflare or VPS hosting).
Of course! You’ll only be accepted into one program at a time to keep things fair, but you can apply to as many of our programs as you like.
We base our decisions on whether an applicant meets eligibility criteria and whether they’re a new or returning participant. To be eligible, your average net profit margins cannot exceed 15% of your total gross revenue or 80% of your local industry average (whichever is greater). If our availability is limited, new eligible applicants will be prioritized over returning ones.
Of course! That said, if our availability is limited we will prioritize new applicants over returning ones. This helps us ensure that more people can benefit from this program, not just a select few.
If your income significantly decreases and you can no longer afford your current rate, please reach out to us as soon as possible so we can adjust your rate accordingly. Any adjustments made will be effective for future work and work that hasn’t been completed and will remain in effect until your income changes again.
If your income significantly increases, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust your rate accordingly. Any adjustments will go into effect for future work and work that hasn’t been completed and will remain in effect until your income changes again.
Yes. We will check-in with you every 6 months to see if your rate needs to be adjusted up or down and confirm you’re still eligible for this program. We’ll send you an email to schedule a recertification meeting two weeks before the 6 month mark and every 6 months after while you’re still actively enrolled in this program.
We encourage participants to reach out at any time and let us know if their income has significantly increased or decreased so we can adjust their rate accordingly.
A quick way to figure out if you’re eligible or not is by figuring out your net profit margins. To do this, you divide your net annual profits (what you made after subtracting all taxes and operating expenses) by your gross annual revenue (what you made before subtracting taxes and operating expenses) then multiply the result by 100.
Net Annual Profits ÷ Gross Annual Revenue × 100 = Net Profit Margins
To calculate your Net Annual Profits: Gross Revenue - (Taxes + Operating Expenses) = Net Annual Profits
If the end result is 15% or below you’re eligible; if you get a number that’s slightly above 15% but below 15.44%, you’ll still be counted as eligible (we round down). If you get a number that’s 15.45% or higher, that doesn’t immediately mean you’re ineligible. If your net profit margins are 80% or less of the average net profit margins for your local industry and market, you’re eligible for this program.
To find out if you meet this criteria you’ll want to pull the current averages for your specific industry and specific location. You can find national averages for 2026 here or by googling the average net profit margin for businesses operating in your industry and city. Once you know the average for your industry and market, convert your net profit margin percentage and your industry’s average net profit margin percentage to decimals. You will then multiply the two numbers and then multiply the result by 100.
((Your Profit Margin ÷ 100) × (The Average Net Profit Margin for Your Industry and Market ÷ 100)) × 100 = Where Your Profit Margins Sit Compared to Industry Averages
If the end result is 80% or below you’re eligible; if you get a number that’s slightly above 80% but below 80.44%, you’ll still be counted as eligible (we round down).
